Standard Size of Complete Home Doors and Windows

Doors and Windows are important parts of House Plans in India as access to people, goods and air. So that it is important to know how many doors and windows are good for a home? Here are the reviews.

The standard size of the door of each room cannot be compared. But we can distinguish according to the layout and function. Here are the standard door sizes that are often used in the field. The size presented is the size of the hole, not including the frame.

Main Door

Is the main entrance door or the initial door for us to enter into the house? The standard size for this door is 90cm x 210cm.

The function of the main door is where people and goods enter. Also where we put items with large sizes and places in and out of all occupants of the Indian house map design. For this function, the size of this door is needed greater than the size of the other doors.

Room Door

This door is a sub entrance. Has a size smaller than the size of the main door with width x height = 80cm x 190cm.
The function of the room door is only to enter the occupants of the room and the size of the items entered into the room is relatively smaller in size.

Service Area Door

This door can be used for toilets or warehouses. This door has a width that is smaller than the size of the other door which is 70cm x 180cm.
The function of this door is adjusted to the size of the service room such as the toilet which is 150cm x 200cm. It has no function like other doors that are used to insert items with large size and solid circulation.

15*60 home design plans, even for the small barn door (alley) the door can be reduced to a size of 60cm x 210cm. And even then if no one enters the room.
Standard Window Size

Windows also have variations in size that are adjusted to the function and layout in the room. The following is a description of the size of the window hole in a residential house.
Main Window

This window is usually located in front or more precisely facing directly to the living room or even the main family room. This window has a minimum size of 80cm x 120cm with several repetitions (1-3 times).
The living room or family room usually has a large size and a dense activity so it requires a window with wide openings for indoor lighting and a source of air exchange.
It should be noted that the main window size can be made as large as possible even the size of a wall, but at risk of excessive irradiation during the day, so it needs to be covered in curtains.

Room Window

When you start floor plans in India the window has a relatively smaller size than the main window due to the function of the window to serve the bedroom with a more private atmosphere and a relatively narrower size. This window has a size of 60cm x 80cm, can be repeated several times (1-2 times).

We recommend that the room window does not lead directly to the vital part of the room so it does not interfere with the privacy of the occupants. It is not good to put a window just above the head of the bed / bed.
